Management Information Systems (MIS) is the product of revolution of information. The world is linked together into a complicated net via information transmission, which shortens the distance on the globe. Marketing competition makes the information more and more important, and information has already become the fourth resource of an enterprises, in addition to human resource, financial resource, and material resource.Since 1980s, the enterprises management with computer has initiated the time of MIS in China, but most of MIS failed. MIS is now in a period of transition from its initial stage as Data Process Systems (DPS) to Management Information Systems (MIS) in China. MIS is not mature enough and has yet many difficulties to overcome in the course of its development.This thesis recalls the developing process of MIS, by focusing on development method, systems analysis and design of MIS. Based on the development and design of long-distance sale net for Inner Mongolia Sanlian Chemical Corporation Limited, this thesis discusses the development of MIS of enterprises, in a bid to contribute to economic construction of China.
