With the popularity of the Internet, and the increasing fast of the network, the problem of information security is becoming more and more serious. Identify authentication based on biological attributes, like electronic handwriting signature, will play more and more important role in access control. This paper first presents an on-line electronic signature verification algorithm in PC-windows environment. This approach emphasizes both static feature of signature shape and dynamic feature of tip pressure. The signature is segmented into strings. The strings are regarded as the feature regions. After string segmentation, according to some relatively simple static features, the dynamic programming method is used to find out the optimal corresponding relation between the strings of the test signature and the reference signature. According to the optimal corresponding relation, the regional correlation algorithm is further used to compute the total matching distance between the test signature and reference signature, taking both the static and the dynamic feature into account. The author of the thesis also designed database to store the users' templates and developed program for management. In order to be called or integrated easily by other programs, he develops it as an ActiveX. Application of Delphi program by secondly development ways of AutoCAD and WORD was discussed. At the same time, the method about how to tied the encryption file of signature was also discussed. At last, an access method about electronic document system based technology of handwriting signature has been discussed.
