The advancement of Very Large Scale Integrated circuit systems (VLSI) has been continuously challenging today's circuit simulation method .in both computational speed and stability. The error of the traditional time-marching method accumulates as the time increases; and at same time, the method suffers from inefficiency in treating singularities, which is normal to VLSI. It also has the problem of nonuniform error distribution. Therefore, the Fast Wavelet Collocation Method is brought forward in this paper to solve the ordinary differential equations of the circuit. Then we revise and optimize this method, and achieve the adaptive techniques of it, at last we apply it in VLSI simulation. With the development of VLSI, the size of intelligent chip reduces while the speed of signal is enhanced, which causes the interconnects produce an increasingly influence to circuit. So the analysis of the time-domain response of interconnects becomes necessary to ensure proper working of the circuit designed. After specifying what time-domain FWCM is, a frequency-domain FWCM (FFWCM) is set forth. By investigating each kind of numerical calculating methods dealing with transmission line, we put forward a new frequency-domain numerical method, which is to use FFWCM to solve telegrapher equations in frequency domain, and then get the time domain response by Numerical Inverse Laplace Transform (NILT). The results show its accuracy and efficiency as well.
