With the inosculation and development of modern communication, multimedia and high speed connected network techniques, brings the broad-band revolution. System performance requirements continue to increases exponentially by broad-band technique. Although Moore law is the same with the fastest DSP device at present, but the advancement in performance for DSP devices is lagging behind the performance requirements growth. So, it must to find a new solution of data processing to meet the challenge of broad-band technique.At the situation of high-data-rate, high-parallel, simple algorithm, less states, simple data flow and critical delay, the FPGA can offer a very good solution.This paper has achieved the design of adaptive filter on the platform of FPGA, it's all based on the research to the algorithm of hardware effective. The work mainly as follow:(1) Use different method to implement many kinds of multiplication in FPGA, and list their advantages, disadvantages and suitable situation. Upon these, advances some optimized modification.(2) Researches the DA more deeply. Has the description of DA in the style of hardware. Advances the optimized solutions of ultimate in speed and ultimate in gate efficiency, and implements them in FPGA.(3) Researches the CORDIC algorithm and its two work modes deeply and in system, implements iterated (gate efficiently) CORDIC processor and on-line (high performance) CORDIC processor. Advances a modification method to CORDIC gain.(4) Researches the digital adaptive filters in system, concluded the common construction of variable adaptive arithmetic. Achieved the design of adaptive filter (basic model) by hardware description. |
