Kiosk ticketing system integrates kiosk technology and e-commerce to sell tickets through Internet. It aims to solve the problem of low efficiency, long-selling chains, limited marketing channels in conventional ticketing mode utilizing computer and Internet technology.First, the paper reviews evolution of ticket-selling system, summarizes related technology and indicates problems of present ticketing website. It analyzes requirements of various ticketing operations using structured analysis, layouts data flow diagrams of ticketing flows and designs n-tier logical architecture of the system. Second, contra posing peculiarity of kiosk touch screen, the paper designs and implements interface of the system using human-machine interaction. It puts emphases on horizontal and vertical scroll implementation using JavaScript and seat selecting implementation using user-defined checkbox. Then, the paper introduces principals of Chinese characters conversion and compares several solutions such as resource files, web agent and ISAPI filters. Based on that, it brings out a method that stores contents in Unicode and outputs in GB/Big5, which solved the problem of displaying proper user interface according to user's personal setting. Printing communication and ticket data exchange are two key problems while developing the system. Considering the specialty of communication between kiosk and printer, the paper finally solved the difficult issue by using tag file and solved data exchange between kiosk owners and service providers by using XML and web.The system adopts n-tier based B/S mode and mainly involves in technology of ASP. Net, XML, ADO. Net, human-machine interaction etc. The practical system has been tested and passed the acceptance check. It is showed that the solution for ticketing system is effective and feasible.
