In recent years, domestic demand in aviation flight routes grow rapidly and civil aviation capacity improves a lot, becoming great pressure on the ticketing services of the Civil Aviation. Self-service ticketing is proved an important solution to ease this pressure for its speed, widely service and economical efficiency, but the development of self-service air ticket kiosk industry in china is still in its initial stage, insufficiency in the design of self-service air ticket kiosk is restricting its public admission and the further promotion of this industry.The goal of this study is solving interface design problems and establishing design patterns of self-service air ticket kiosk, so that can provide constructive references for self-service air ticket kiosk design, encourage using, improve public understanding and using experience, and promote the development of this industry.This paper is comprised of four parts:(1) Comprehensively analyze the Human-Machine-Environment system of self-service air ticket kiosk and elaborates the three factors and their interactions in this system; Determine the design coverage of self-service air ticket kiosk interface.(2)According to human-oriented interface design concept, define user rang and their demands; Through the analysis of user characteristics and demands, figure out defects in self-service air ticket kiosk interface design, providing the basis for the research of self-service air ticket kiosk interface design.(3)Based on analysis of Human-Machine-Environment system and users, make progressive study of self-service air ticket kiosk interface design, solving design problems and establish a design pattern.(4)Through the case of self-ticketing kiosk design, tested the design pattern and reference guidelines; The design case in practice also enrich the content of this study, and validated the practice of this study's practice significance. In this paper, self-service air ticket kiosk interface design has been researched systematically for the first time, and design pattern of self-service air ticket kiosk interface design is established, reference problem solving guidelines is figured out which can be applied in design to improve its public understanding and using experience.
