Computer monitoring system plays an important role in the process of enterprise informationalization. Nowadays, multifarious monitoring systems are concomitant and integrated with each other, and each has its strong point. However, no one is perfect to every specific situation. To be suitable for practical application, the monitoring system design, therefore, should be adjusted to particular conditions.Based on the monitoring system for refining and recycling of Liu Lu Ltd. Co. in Jin Zhou, this paper deals with the design and implementation of this monitoring system. This monitoring system has two layers: supervisal layer and field layer. The former, which is made up of IPC, configure software and data base, is used to monitor information of the whole producing system. The latter, which includes PLC and field control instrument, is to accomplish field control and data collection. The whole monitoring system communicates with Ethernet to share information.This paper lays special emphasis upon the realization process of supervisal layer, and illustrates the application of the configure software, management of database as well as report table in details. Moreover, details of the device point configuration, design and implementation of HMI, configuration and management of MSSQL Server, and printing method of report table are specifically discussed in the paper. At the same time, the field debugging of the monitoring system is recorded, including field problems and resolutions, as well.In the last part, this paper makes a deep analysis of OLE for Process Control (OPC), which has been called the kernel component in the connection of distinct network in order to prepare the system for the future enlargement of business management. Taking the development of OPC DA server as an example, the paper lastly describes the functional structure and programming structure of an OPC DA server with UML to demonstrate its development. And then the paper ends with the application of the OPC DA server in configure software.
