Research On Net Monitor System Based On MPEG-4

In video monitor, the key to the application is to realize the efficient image compression coding. Net monitor systems connecting digital video monitor with network , not only have the advantages of compression, storage and query with easier ways, but also have the advantages of that the scene to be concerned can be monitored anywhere and anytime. At present there are many kinds of video compression standard existing. Considerring to the high coding efficiency, high compression ratio and high performance of MPEG-4 under narrow band width, this system chooses the MPEG-4 as the video coding standard. With the popularization of ADSL, video transmission based on the ADSL network becomes to be a hot issue. The core of this thesis is to research the video transmission system based on ADSL. The whole thesis mainly discusses the principle of MPEG-4 video compression coding system, analyses its key techniques, proposes a quick arithmetic easily to be realized on DM642, designs the whole hardware system, finally implements the video monitor system with MPEG-4.
