Along with the development of IT industry and the popularity of network , computers contribute to the development of the informatized Hospital Administration. Through more than ten years' improvement, the informatized Hospital Administration has made a lot of progress. But with the advance of knowledge-based economy and reformation of medical mechanism , the informatization and modernization of Hospital Administration of our country must meet higher demand.The important meaning of the informatization of Hospital Administration includes: (1)the development of the informatized Hospital Administration is one of important parts of the development of national informatization; (2) it benefits to improving the working efficiency, and diminishes the cost of management; (3) it benefits the standardization, institutionalization and scientization of Hospital Administration;(4) it provides convenience for the treatment of patients;(5) it benefits the share of every kind of medical information and other information, to enhance the supervisement of the foundation of illness, and to provide reliance and support for the leader's making policy.Hospital Information Management System is one of the most important parts of the development of the informatized Hospital Administration. Now most of Hospital Information Management System not only can't provide the complete management functions of hospital but also don't conform to the standard of hospital. Under the support and help of the Beijing Sino-Japan Friendship Hospital,the Branch company of Beijing of Guo-Xun Medical Group has designed and developed the Hospital Information Management System based on three-liered structure,it complies strictly with the corresponding regulations that The Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China issued ,and has been used by the Beijing Sino-Japan Friendship Hospital. The author participates in the design and the development of this system. The thesis is based on the author's experience and understanding of corresponding knowledge. In this thesis, the author discussed the key techniques that Hospital Information Management System used, to explain the design of Hospital Information Management System and also provid the example.The thesis is totally divided into three part: Preface,Text and Conclusion.In the preface, the author referred to the impact of informatization on Hospital Administration, the purpose of design and developing Hospital Information Management System, the advanced aspects of Hospital Information System Software and other corresponding complementarities. The text part totally includes five chapters. In this part, the author discussed the technology Hospital Information Management System used and the integrate layout of Hospital Information Management System. In the conclusion part, the author summarized the innovations of Hospital Information Management System and the changes that using Hospital Information Management System brought to Hospital Administration and the improvement the software needed. In chapter one, the writer discussed the development of application software structure and the advantages of three-tiered structure. Along with the rapid development of the computer technique and network technique, the complexity of software has been increased all the way, and the effect of system structure on the design of software and the process of programming is more and more important. Compared to stand-alone application software and two-tiered application software, three-tiered structure application software is more conformable to the trend of software development. In terms of efficiency and programming, three-tiered software is the best. In chapter two, the author discussed several kinds of techniques of designing three-tiered structure software. The writer introduced Component Object Model technology and .NET platform provided by Microsoft Co. and CORBA (Common Object Request Breaker Architecture) technology and J2EE (Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition) provided by Borland Company.
