Organization Of Information In The Network Environment Research

In the rapid age of networks development, information is increasing greatly, channels for information are more diversified, material carriers are getting more and more, information implications are more accurate and delicate, and demands for utility are more complicated. All this makes it more difficult to choose information than before. And information organization makes use of some scientific rules and ways, by indicating and ordering the external and content characters of information, to realize the change from disordered information to ordered information so as to ensure that the users can access and use information effectively. Therefore, the research of information organization is of great significance in the networks environment,This article probes into information organization in 4parts. Part one is a brief introduction of information organization, in which the principles, purposes, requirements, historical development and research significance of information organization are carefully dealt with. Information organization is based on its property, and the property consists of its forms, contents and effectiveness. And based on mis, information organization breaks into grammatical information organization, semantic information organization and pragmatic information organization. But in fact users are more likely to adopt synthetic methods of information organization, such as classification methods and subject methods, which are key researches in this article. The purposes and requirements of information organization, and the historical development and the research significance of information organization are also discussed. And meanwhile the author puts forward her own views on the historical development of information organization, and discusses the influence of information organization on information exchange.Part Tow is about the traditional development of information organization in the networks environment. First of all, a brief introduction is made about the traditional methods of information organization to analyse the information description , information indexing and the ordering of information organization. These are 2 models in the traditional description of information, ie, ISBDs and MARC. Classification methods and subject methods are the main items in the traditional information indexing and Hie ordering methods of information organization. Then the article discusses how to use these methods of information description, information indexing and information ordering, which have developed in the library information circle in the networksenvironment. These methods are still applied to the organization of networks information resources and keep their own characters of strictness, standard and norm. As for the information description, the research of the applications of ISBD and MARC being demonstrated with vivid examples is made in the networks environment. Concerning the information description and the information ordering, how to use the classification methods and the subject methods is discussed in detail. Some typical networks information systems of bibliographical classification are exemplified in tables, along with some classified tables of in formation system and tables of the word sequence of the subject, and a analysis is made as well.Part Three deals with the research of the present situation of information organization in the networks environment. This part makes a detailed analysis of the features of the traditional information organization used in the networks environment and the disadvantages, and points out the advantages and disadvantages of ISBD, MARC, the methods of bibliographical classification and subject applied in the networks information organization, and which are exemplified vividly.
