Storage Area Network Technology Research

The theory of storage area network is new but has been widely known in the storage and network industry. It can provide abundant and fast data resources for application systems in the network; on the other hand, it can manage all storage resources in the network at the central place. So, it is turned out be a perfect mode of storage management and application. The purpose of the thesis is to build a bridge between the theory of storage area network and its applications. Moreover, the thesis will make some research about how to develop application systems based on storage area network technology.The thesis designs and implements RIMS(remote image monitoring system) based on storage area network technology. It also make some research about storage area network theory. Through combining the theory of storage area network and RIMS'real condition, it provides a adaptive solution for the data management in remote distributing storage system.
