RAID technology can effectively improve the performance of storage system and enhance the reliability of the system. With the rapid development of China's storage industry, China increases emphasis on storage technologies. In the current environment, network storage has become a hot spot, makes i SCSI technology become much more outstanding. the construction of the domestic storage system is of great significance by using the RAID technology and i SCSI technology. China has developed server with the domestic CPU and operating system, which is equipped with i SCSI-RAID storage system, study on its read-write performance for different architecture has very important researching significance.Through the performance tests of the i SCSI-RAID storage system due to low speed of the domestic CPU, analyzing its key factors, mining its potential concurrency, an optimization solution for client-oriented data transmission is proposed. In the solution, every two network receiving module and network sending module of the server are corresponding to a specific client, handling client's read-write requests and server's read-write responses separately, in order to isolate the different clients' requests and responses. Different optimization strategies is used for the treatment of read and write requests, the processing of read requests is optimized by zero copy method, reducing the data copy times, and the parallel coping strategy is used for the data copy of write requests. In addition, parity check calculating operation of write requests is optimized by the solution, separating from the processing of write requests to improve the system's processing efficiency.According to the design, codes to achieve the system, and carries on the contrast tests on the performance of the system before and after optimization. The test results show that, the processing efficiency of the system after optimization has significantly improved, the utilization rate of CPU is higher, both read and write performance have different degrees of improvement, which basically achieve the design goals.
