| Emergence of computers significantly extends human' s ability and the combination of computer and communication creates computer network technology that changes the traditional standalone computation on individual computer into distributed computation on connected cooperative computers. However, the structure of the traditional distributed computation (C/S model) is static, it is hard to update software timely and customize software according to individual user' s requirement, even if it is changed into the advanced B/S model.The situation has been completely changed by the emergence of mobile agent (MA) technology. MA technology is thoroughly a new distributed computation technology, which provides a new method for the solution of distributed applications. Mobile agent is a software entity that can run continuely and autonomously in the distributed environment. Because MA technology has good features such as autonomy, mobility, goal or task-driven, collaboration, adaptability, reliability, intelligence, openness and scalability, it provides better method for the implementation of distributed computation to meet the needs of the software updating timely and software customizing according to individual user' s needs in modern software.The theoretic model of the MA technology is deeply studied in this thesis, which includes the architecture of MA, migration mechanism, location and communication of MA, interoperability specification of MA and security of MA. After the theoretic model of MA and the middleware theory are analyzed, a Real-time Stock Monitoring System based on the MA middleware is designed and implemented. Because of the excellent characteristic of MA, the system is efficient, portable, scalable and easy for users to customize the software. This application system is a distributed information management system, so the infrastructure may be applied to other information management system, distributed networkmanagement, secure agent and e-commerce system easily. |
