Research On Distributed Computing Based On Middleware Using Mobile Agent

Mobile agent computation will be the main paradigm of future distributed computation. Compare to object, agent has bigger granularity, more intelligence and some autonomy. Agent-oriented software is deemed to in all probability the new generation software developing pattern follow the object-oriented software, i.e. software technology evolves from procedure-oriented to object-oriented, component-oriented and to agent-oriented.Middleware technology is a hotspot of the research on current distributed software technology. Communication between the client and server is always the emphases of research of middleware. So far, the primary mechanism of it is still RFC and OORPC.This thesis analyzes characters of distributed object middleware and challenges they pose, especially the shortages of the connect and communication between the client and server, and the characters and merit of the mobile agent technology in distributed computation. And then, in this paper, we put forward a distributed computing model based on middleware using mobile agent. The innovation of model is adopting mobile agent to replace RFC and OORPC to implement the connect and communication between the client and server, in this way, it can remove the disadvantage of the traditional middleware and add the intelligence, flexility and adaption to the network to the communication between the client and server. This design is accordant to the development direction of distributed computation and software technology. In this model, we research and discuss a series of pivotal technology of our middleware: navigation service, load balance, the integration between client request and service, and system security, and then we put forward the corresponding resolvent. Fiially, based on the above-mentioned resolvent, we implement a prototype of our middleware, and compare it with CORE A.This paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter synthesizes the mobile agent technology and its development trend; The concept of middleware and the analyse of the distributed object middleware is given in the second chapter; The detailed design of the middleware using mobile agent in the third chapter; In the fourth chapter, we emphatically discuss a series of pivotal technology of our middleware : navigation service, load balance, the integration between client request and service, and system security, and then, based on the above-mentioned resolvent, we depict the implement of the prototype of our middleware, and compare it with CORBA; The last chapter sums up the research of our paper and the point out the research orientation in the future.
