Distance Education Web Site Design And Realization

In this paper, we described the relative respects of constructing a web site of distance education, including the selection of the software and hardware platforms, the dividing of web site function, the safety of the web site and the developing direction of the web site in the future.First of all, the selection of the software and hardware platforms is very important to the performance of the web site, such as access speed, extensibility and maintainability. So, when we construct a web site, comparing the performance of different software and hardware product in advance and reviewing the performance as a whole are necessary. We carefully compared the performance of different software and hardware products and depicted the strong and weak points of them in this paper. The hardware includes processor, RAM, disk driver and the items linking to the Internet.Secondly, dividing the web site function into modules is very common in implementing web site function. In this paper, the function of the web site was divided into several relative modules and each module was depicted particularly. The web site of distance education includes user management module, studying module, homework module, online testing module, consultation module and discussing module.Thirdly, the safety of web site is important in any condition, so how to guarantee the safety of web site with any possible measure is a necessary portion of the paper.Finally, we showed the extensibility of the web site and some impending functions in the future.
