Based On Tax Xml Web-based Electronic Reporting System

This thesis is based on a project launched by Shanghai Revenue and developed by ShenJi Information & System Project Ltd. We developed Shanghai Electronic Tax System on Web for this project, which is ranked as one of the 12 Fact Projects of Shanghai in 2002.The whole solution is based on XML. The system uses the current advanced technologies including XML, XML Web Service and .NET. We use XML for data storage, XML Web Service for distributed application and .NET for the tax-oriented Electronic Tax Smart Client and the tax report platform. Further more, the system has a security system based on PKI to insure the security. All these are the new characteristics that the old electronic systems do not have. The thesis also standardizes the tax data using XML, which makes a big step forward in the data standardization of our tax system. To conquer the drawback of traditional distributed application, the author introduces the XML-based communication protocol in the Electronic Tax System. The activities participated in tax pay website and revenue are published as Web Services, which is the first appearance in electronic tax systems. This system has been successfully used in 5 revenues, 3 banks and by about 4000 taxpayers in Shanghai. The realization of the system has upgraded the electronic level of tax and also promoted the development of electronic government affairs as well as the further development of electronic tax in our country.
