This thesis is devoted to the study on the design and implementation of MIGS. Studied from the angle of Information changing, shipping marine information plays an important role in shipping management decision. Gathering the subsystem data on board, conveying data through satellite communication and receiving and analyzing these data on shore can help ship company implement the supervision, control and management on shipping information at sea. Meanwhile, these means can also offer data to the shipyard. The system has been installed successfully at about 500 ships of the international shipping company, which is good to run the result and has obtained the user's favorable comment. The system has fully embodied the systematic economic benefits and social benefit and has certain reference value and innovative meaning to the information-based process of the domestic shipping company. The thesis is composed of six chapters. The first chapter gives a general survey of the background of the thesis and the resource of some key techniques and projects. The second chapter contributes to the detailed description of data classification, in which the shipping information fall into two categories: static information and dynamic information. In chapter three, the automatic gathering technique on shipping marine information is expounded. Some advanced gathering techniques and system are introduced in this chapter, including AIS, VDR, and GPS, which the concepts, structures, and usages are introduced.Chapter four dwells on Board-Shore Communication technique, the real-time transmission of shipping marine. The satellite communication is the main means in Board-Shore Communication, the communication technique for maritime affairs is Maritime Satellite Communication System. Its techniques include Telex, Telegram, Telephone, and Email, among with Email is the best means for conveying large amount of data. Satellite communication and Board-Shore Communication technique are expounded in this chapter.Chapter five deals with the application of shipping marine information to shipping management decision. It is of importance for the shipping company tostrengthen dispatcher, supervision and control on the ship, and enhance the integrality of VTS, because it is much helpful to the shipyard to control, analyze and improve the ship property. The last chapter dwells on the design and implementation of MIGS. Introductions are given in this chapter to the system function structures, data precession, data base design , user interface design and system implementation techniques.Su qiaoli (Communication) Directed by Prof.Qian xiaojiang...
