The Optical Pick-up Unit (OPU) is a key assembly in the DVD player. It is necessary to examine and adjust the stance and various parameters of the OPU by using the DVD examining-adjusting machine in the production of the DVD player, so as to read the information on the DVD disc reliably and correctly.The DVD examining-adjusting machine is a complicated system which combines the techniques of the DVD player and the industrial control together, mainly including the signal relay and amplifying part, the servo amplifying part, the computer control part, the JIT value measuring part, and the construction framework. The computer control part is further divided into the hardware for signal acquisition and processing, the system staring program, the preparation and the auxiliary programs and the working program.Combining with the development of the DVD examining-adjusting machine, this thesis studies deeply the system construction and working principles of the DVD 4. 16 based on the study on the DVD as well as CD players. It especially studies and analyzes the signal control system, the servo control system, and the computer control system of the DVD examining-adjusting machine. Such studies and analyses are with significant importance for the further development for the DVD examining-adjusting machine.
