| At present, the production process is flexible and modifiable instead of the conventional batch production in manufacturing. The period in which a product is renewed is becoming shorter and shorter. Accordingly the automation technology of the production process has been gained a lot of attention.The main goal of this thesis is to design and develop the specific character HE- detector, which is used to measure specification of the cylinder motor in video tape recorders (VTR). Based on the fact that the cylinder motors in VTR are made automatically, the focuses of the thesis are on the design and implementation of the HE- detector for real-time detection and on-line controlling. A systemic analysis is given for the hardware and software design, the criteria of signal acquisition, and the functions of the HE- detector. The thesis also discusses the construction of the overall system that consists of the HE- detector, the other controllers, and the communication modules in the production line. In the hardware design, the detector is constructed by the industry PC that is used as the central processor, a high quality data acquisition card, a high speed I/O card, and a display monitor. Digital filter algorithms are designed to filter out the noise interference in software that is programmed with C language.In the thesis experiments for the HE- detector are conducted and the system performance is evaluated through analyzing the experiment results. The detector has been applied in the production line successfully and its overall performance is satisfactory with the requirements of both the design and the production. |
