With the raPid development of the telecommunication and the prevalence of'telephone, increasing the capacity of the SPC Switch has been the design emphasisin all the SPC Switch manufacturers. All the SPC Switch manufacturers have been.paying more and more attention to the increase of the system capacity TheDMG TELEPHONE CORP, which engages me as Vce General manager,expected to improve the ready-made SP30 SPC Switch system, and to develop anew product- 128K SPC Switch system, which has higher competitive power andbroader aPplications.As a responsible technical leadef, the author deeply studies and analyses theswitching technology, and presents an exhaustive plan fOr the new product. Theplan consists of the design of high capacity TST network, communication-controlprocessor system, and transmission distribution system etc. According to this plan,several grouPs accomplished the detailed design under my guidance. TwoprototyPes of the new product have been produced with one year's hard work. Testresults indicated the new system satisfied all requiremellts. It must be appreciatedand accepted in telecom market, due to its advanced technology reliableperformance and high cost performance.A series of technical key problems have been solved, mainly fAn overal exhaustive design of the 128K switching network system waspresented based on 4K net-chips, with our own intellectual propertyA 3 level 64K switching net was successfully designed, in which the Tlevelconsists of l6 4K net-chips and the S-level consists of a self designed single VLSIFPGA chip with 560 pins.An optical net interface and an optical multiplexer were designed to carry outthe voice transmission and distribution of l28,000 users.
