With the rapid development of computer technology and enterprise information, the application of MIS(Management Information System) has made a great process in many enterprises. At the same time, the enterprises accumulated a great deal of data and spent more and more to store and manage the data. However, heterogeneous databases emerged because of some factors such as technology,economy and staggered application of MIS. So, more and more enterprises are becoming to face an important question that how to exchange and share data in there heterogeneous databases. For these reasons, this paper raised an idea that to implement the related-data query and sharing between heterogeneous databases, constructed a model of XML- middleware and realized a system with JAVA. Related-Data Searching and Data Sharing of Heterogeneous Database based XML (The system is called RDSSHD-XML in this article). To deal with the related-data query, this paper designed the query document in the XML form and this document describes all relevant information about the related-data query to heterogeneous databases. So it is solved not to describe the related-data query in standard SQL. Using RDSSHD-XML DB programmers only input all relevant connection information and proper SQL statement about the query on the calling principle supplied by RDSSHD-XML, they can perform their query in so simply way. Therefore it is believed that RDSSHD-XML offers a common interface to database programmer and sharing data to different users and it allows you avoid programming many repetitive codes. On the other hand, the result of the query formed in XML can be shared in different applications and systems.This project uses JAVA as mainly programming language for its advantage of cross-platform. Because of the using of JAVA, this system can be transplanted in different OS. And it is suitable for different OS in varieties of enterprises without customer-enable development.
