Based On The Gsm Short Message Wireless Data Monitoring System

The GSM network has grown up from the development of these years. How to take full use of GSM resource, how to develop its advantage of wide covering, plenty of users, and how to develop extra-service have attracted more and more service-provider. As much advantage of GSM sms service it conquest more and more people.In the other hand, the multi-cpu monitoring system, which is connected by single-chipped computer and PC machine through serial interface is widely used in the fields of industry and data-monitoring. The communication way of these systems is always RS232, RS485 or Cable modem, radio station, but their inherent fault limits the fields in which these systems are used.A new monitoring system, which is developed by sms through GSM module is discussed in this paper. The reliability and encryption is deeply studied too, and it is applied in this system. The system includes monitoring station and master station. The kernel of monitoring station is micro-computer system whose function is data collecting.sending.and the assembly language is used in software. The kernel of master station is PC machine whose function is data receiving,storage.and VisualBasic language is used in software. The link between the two stations is the GSM module which support phone.sms.data communication.fax and is developed by AT command, (the GSM module used in this system is WAVECOM).The study of the paper can make monitoring system better used in the fields of industry and data acquisition.This paper is divided into seven chapters. Chapter one analyzes and introduces several kinds of way of wireless data transmission, and put the emphasis on the concept, and application of GSM. Several kinds of applicated monitoring system are discussed in chapter two. After summing up their faults, the idea of developing monitoring system in sms way is brought up in chapter two. Chapter three focused on the concept and the protocol of sms and introduce how to use the WAVECOM module. The emphasis of the chapter four and five is how to compose the software and hardware of the two stations. In chapter six, from the reliability and encryption several kinds of algorithm are studied, and how to realizeis also introduced.
