The terminal is designed for small-scale user, and has certain commonability. User only needs to self-define the terminal differently according to the different objects monitored and controlled, do not need to change hardware and program. In addition, the terminal is operated by the means of Chinese short message, and it is more convenient to use. All these are the outstanding characteristic of the terminal. The terminal consists of two parts mainly: GSM engine module and a monitor and control unit taking single-chip computer as the core. The GSM engine module is the TC35T module produced by Siemens Company;it is used for receiving and delivering short message mainly. The unit is used to finish the concrete monitor and control task, and communicate with PC or TC35T.This paper includes the several following part mainly:The first part is the foreword. It has introduced the background of the topic and the work that has been done.The second part has introduced function and use of the wireless remote monitor and control terminal that can be self-defined.The third part has briefly introduced GSM network and the relevant knowledge of the short message service (SMS).The fourth part has introduced AT commands relevant to receiving and delivering short message, and the instance that receiving and delivering short message with AT commands.The fifth part has introduced GSM engine module TC35T that is adopted in the terminal.The sixth part has described the hardware design of the terminal, and briefly introduced main parts that are used.The seventh part has described the software design of the terminal.The eighth part has briefly introduced the relevant knowledge and measure which are taken of anti-interference in the system.The ninth part is conclusion and prospect.
