Embedded Ethernet Web

The development of network technology has caused the deep technical transform of industrial control field. Ethernet and embedded system have got great development nowadays, and Ethernet is being used to realize embedded systematic network.As a new technology, Embedded Ethernet is to connect embedded systems into Ethernet directly. Embedded WEB can visit equipments on Internet through Web browser, realize remote monitor, control, diagnose and configure functions, and so on. It provides for users a kind of convenient, fast, general and cost-effective control scheme for distribution control in industrial field.Embedded WEB is realized based on web techniques and standard protocols, including dynamic interactive technology between server and browser, HTTP protocol, and TCP/IP protocol. In this thesis, the comparison for the major performance of CGI, PHP and ASP is made, and the operation mechanism of CGI is analyzed. On embedded controller based on embedded system RCM2250, data capture from browser, data disposal, data return of CGI is realized by using Dynamic C. The program realizes server clock setting, pictures on browser switching, and hardware lamps control through browser. This method can be popularized to realize other industrial control requirements.In order to provide users with better interface on browser, dynamic curves are drawed by Java Applet. Since Java Applet runs on JVM (Java virtual machine) of browser, and its data is in embedded server, server dispatches data through TCP socket, and Java Applet takes over them by I/O stream and draws curves. TCP socket may also be used to realize reliable information exchange between embedded systems.The results of experiments show that Embedded WEB can realize remote monitor, control, diagnose and configure through browser well. The realization of embedded WEB makes a try to apply technology of information network to industrial distribution control.
