Algorithm Research And Implementation Of Hdtv, Transport Stream Multiplexer

HDTV (High Definition Television) technology integrates the most advanced image compression encoding technology and the digital communication technology,which is representative of the third generation television. It has become one of the focuses in the high-tech competitions. Having the initiative in this field will take the lead of high technology in the future and get great chance in the growing market.MPEG-2 transport stream multiplexer takes an important role in HDTV system. Its performance has a great influence on the program transmission ability of HDTV system and the decoding quality of decoder in HDTV receiver.This thesis discusses the implementation algorithms and hardware structure of transport stream multiplexer. The main contents of this thesis are at a glance:Chapter 1 gives an overview of DVB and ATSC transmission standards.Chapter 2 describes the system part of MPEG-2 standard with focuses on PSI (Program Specific Information) and PCR (Program Clock Reference).Chapter 3 discusses the algorithms of multiplexer/remultiplexer,which will be referenced by the hardware implementation of multiplexer.Chapter 4 focuses on the hardware structure of multiplexer based on DSP and CPLD. Important function modules will be demonstrated in detail.Chapter 5 gives a summary of the whole thesis and also discusses the research hotspot in the future.
