Key Technologies Of Expert Systems, Fault Diagnosis Based On Web Database

Long distance fault diagnosis is a kind of integrated technique combining computer,communication with diagnosis technique together.Combining diagnosis technique with Internet and adopting an open system structure have a powerful life and a bright application future.This thesis investigates those key techniques concerned while establishing a long distance fault diagnosis expert system based on web database under the environment of Internet/Intranet, including key traditional expert system techniques such as knowledge base,database,reasoning machine and etc, also including key net techniques such as B/S mode, HTML,ASP,ADO,ActiveX,COM,JavaScript,VBScript and so on.Based on the investigations of the above techniques, the thesis focuses on the key techniques needed to realize the combination of traditional expert system technique with net technique, involving the transportation .storage, loading of fault symptoms and fault images, and the comparison of B/S mode with C/S mode,the way of visiting web database, the way of designing interface between web server and diagnosis server, and the comparison of encapsulating the reasoning machine into a ActiveX controller with encapsulating the reasoning machine into a COM component.This thesis has successfully transferred the traditional expert system onto the net, explored a long distance web site which has the functions of preliminary diagnosis and demonstration(demo available within Intranet).This long distance web site adopts the advanced B/S mode as the web database mode, realizing true "thin client". IIS5.0 serves as the web server. SQL ServerT.O serves as database server. By applying COM technique to encapsulate,the diagnosis service works as a server component. IE realizes the mutual communication between client and server.
