Smart Card Middleware

It is becoming more and more popular and important for the smartcard application in the network security area and the economic areas of finance, insurance and securities etc., but it's depressed for the incompatibility of smartcard, interface device and communication channel. The smartcard middleware emerges in this situation .It combines the smartcard technology with the middleware technology. For the smartcard application, it does not need to concern the brand of smartcard, IFD and CMC when running on the platform of smartcard middleware and transplanting for the circumstance change. It can economize human resources on the development and transplantation phase and improve the compatibility and the extensibility. When any of smartcard, IFD and CMC changed, we need to do nothing. It's sure that the smartcard middleware will act an important role in the future smartcard applications.This thesis includes the following elements:1. The background knowledge of smartcard and IFD is introduced.2. The architecture of smartcard middleware, by means of middleware technology, forms through operation mode, physical model and logic model in the application circumstance.3. The requirements analysis of the smartcard middleware can give clear knowledge and comprehension about how all the cooperative modules working and what function every module implementing.4. The protocols of smartcard layer, IFD layer and CMC layer are put forward first by myself, and the data structure based on C language and the configuration files are designed for really development.5. Two application examples implementing on the smartcard middleware.
