Modern Cad Technology And The Establishment Of The 3d Parametrization

Parametric design and variable design are both feature-based modeling techniques, this paper compared these two main techniques of modern modeling techniques, discussed the fundamental characters of feature-based design technique. On this basis, studied the system structure and special characterist of the I-DEAS. Submitted interference analysis and tolerances analysis methods and connotation for assembly model in I-DEAS. Studied the running model and system structure of Concurrent Engineering supported by modern CAD techniques and Web techniques, provided an instance of Concurrent Engineering supported by I-DEAS system. Provided the theoretical and practice foundations for the enterprise, to improve their CAD system from 2D to 3D.
