In complex electronic system, faults of the device can be rapidly detected by employing the fault diagnosis technology ,the performance of the device can be improved and the cost of maintenance and repairing can be considerably reduced. Therefore this technology receives wide attention. In this thesis, the theory, application and development of the fault diagnosis technology were introduced entirely. The principle of working were presented, the fault mode of the diagnosed instrument was analyzed. The interface card of high rate parallel data acquiring and processing was designed. The 80C196KC single chip microprocessor, electronic switch array, CPLD, large capacity RAM were integrated into the interface card. The detection operation is intelligent and automatic. The control software and the virtual instrument panel were designed in Visual C++ ,Different messages were sent through serial port. The "chip_level" fault detection was implemented by means of diagnosing technology and experimental methods .The experimental results indicate that this system is fast, accurate, ease to use, portable and applicable for practicable use.
