Wavelet Analysis And Image Data Compression

In digital image process, image transform^ image enhance^ image data compress and image analysis is the primary content of research work. Especially in image data compression, it has a very important status hi image storage and image transmission. Many years along, by persisting with hard work of many boffin, the image data compression field have acquired a lot of achievement. The good character of localization on wavelet transform bring a new method of image data progression, it make this field full of vital force.hi this paper, the author primary research and discuss the following question:1. The writer has summarized and compared the previous method of image data compression.2. Researched the application method of wavelet analysis in still image compression. Analyzed the character of different wavelet radix and the result of compression in detail.3. The writer give a method of image progressive transmission based on wavelet transforms, it increased the efficiency of the image transmission consumedly.4. The writer makes it in one demo system of the essential content and essential method of the image process by programming with VC++.All primary programs in this article are realized with VC++ and Matlab.
