This paper gives a general description of Digital Audio and Digital Signal Processor (DSP) and the technique of DSP use in audio field. Introduce the structure of audio system simply, and describe the frequency response of the speaker. Analysis the sound quality effect by the frequency response of speakers. And put forward compensate the frequency response of speakers using equalizer. Compressor, expander, limiter and noise gate are important for the audio system, this paper also introduce them, and describe how to use them. The newest digital amplifier technique is mentioned while introducing the structure of digital audio system. The digital audio processors TAS300x series produced by TI have powerful ability to handle the audio. This paper introduces the method of designing the EQ filter while introduce the digital audio processors TAS300x series. About the control of the system, I2C bus and the MSP430 MCU are introduced. The method of control the TAS3001 using MSP430 is described. At last, a experiment about compensate the frequency response of speaker was completed. The main equipments of the experiment are TAS3001EVM evaluate broad and the MSP430 MCU developed by Flash emulator tool. The results of the experiment are matching the simulation, and the sound quality is improved greatly.The digital audio processors produced by TI provide home audio system and PC audio system with enrich sound for customers, and make low price high quality become possible It's obvious that it has a fine prospect.
