Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile hosts forming a multi-hop temporary wireless network without the aid of any centralized administration or wired infrastructure. In such a network, each mobile node operates not only as a host but also as a router. This network has a series of the strengths, for example: MANET can be built rapidly and easy, and it is not set measures to by wired network, and so on. MANET can also be used for emergency search, disaster rescue, law enforcement, and so forth. Consequently, MANET takes on widespread application foreground.Due to the topology of MANET is dynamic, conventional routing protocol cannot adapt well to such an environment. Therefore, it becomes the main subject for the research of routing protocol in MANET. This article mainly research routing protocol for MANET. By analyzing pertinent factors that bring out influence for network performance, the paper proposes some routing protocols and algorithms in MANET.At first, the paper introduces concept, characteristics of MANET, and expatiates on MANET's architecture base on network model of OSI. After researching and analyzing for existing routing protocol, it points out research tendency of routing protocol in MANET.Because dynamic topology is an important characteristic of MANET, the information of network topology must be update constantly, it can get real time topology and ensure transmission of data. For reducing control overhead that frequent information transmission produce and transmission delay, utilizing mobility prediction scheme, it provides a routing protocol with delay constraint based on the most stable path in mobile ad hoc wireless networks. At the same time, we enhance quality of service of network by bring in QoS concept in protocol, and provide a QoS routing protocol with mobility prediction. This protocol pikes transmission path by selecting the most stable route of supporting QoS requirement, include, bandwidth, delay. Because anycast service can balance availably load distribution of network and enhance network performance. To best utilizing network resource and decreasing tuneof route rebuilding, the article provides a efficient Anycast routing Protocol in MANET. For executing real time transmission, route must be rebuilding rapidly after route failure. The first route recovery method for MANET is presented and referred to here, and an efficient route recovery method based on anycast policy is provided in this paper. By deciding on a pair of node with the shortest path the method can recover rapidly failure route between source node group and destination node group. The testing results show that the above of protocol get the better of network performance than correlation routing protocols.
