Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET), origined from The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), is a network that every node processes packet routing without infrastructure. The fast equipping and mobile self-organization characters push MANET the hot point in wireless communication research, especially the route of MANET. Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF)' s MANET Work Group now look for the comment about the RFC2501and RFC 3561. Based on Ad hoc On-Demand Vector (AODV) routing protocol, this paper provides a MAODV routing protocol based on a new prediction of mobility algorithm. The MAODV keeps route discovery, keeping and Switch by estimating neighbor node' s distance and predicting neighbor node' s mobility to suit fast changed network topology. This mechanism eliminates the end-to-end delay effectively and enhances the real-time character, which is very important to the voice communication and video communication. This work used NS2 (Network Simulator 2) that is widely used in wireless communication research area by many universities and institutions in world. Simulator result demonstrates that, compared with original AODV, MAODV based on prediction of mobility could reduce end-to-end delay effectively and increases data transform rate. The conclusion of this paper would facilitate advanced wireless mobile ad hoc node mobility model research work, real-time communication and promote the application of MANET. In addition, I hope this work would contribute to the part of the RFC2501and RFC 3561.
