Based On Petri Net Workflow Modeling Tools

With the development of information technology and management theory, workflow technology becomes a new hot topic in the area of computer application. The study on this technology can contribute a lot to an enterprise' s progress in information standard and operation efficiency.Workflow model is one of the most functional parts in a Workflow Management System (WFMS). It is a key to the realization of a WFMS. The study of workflow modeling mainly concerns the way to express clearly and accurately business process within actual application and especially the way to formalizing. Based on Petri net, this thesis presents a new workflow model, which is colored workflow net. This model consists of process model describing business process, organization model describing enterprise staff and resource model describing enterprise resource. It has a strong ability to express the business process. This thesis puts forward a detailed model design, including the process model design, the organization model design and the resource model design. In addition, this paper realizes a visual workflow modeling tool, by which the designer can create the process flow diagram and save the process definition according to the model definition.
