Large Capacity and ExcellentTransmission QualityIt has become best routeway of Multimedia Synthetic InformationNetwork.Combined with other correlative techniques,it can achieve new operations,forexaInPle,VOD in HFC network.long-distance teching and long-distance medical treaAnent.Asa result Europe Tele Organizing is trying its best to recommend the DVB-C standard in theworld.Based on the demand of receiving digital cable television signal, the digital demodulatingand charmel decoding which is the part of the DVB-C receiving system is performed in thispaPer. We choose the prOject after comparing and demonstrating advanced structures andtechniques in the wor1d, and by using the programmable VLSI, channel decoding anddemodulating is achieved. The work on this system includes the hardware and softwaredesign of the front wde-band amplifier, zero-IF digital demodulator, controllable SAWbase-band filter, carrier and clock recovery, convolution decoder, RS decoder, de-interleave,de-random and microprocessor control system.
