High speed single chip digital signal processor (DSP) is the fast developing sir~le chip computer in recent years,It is used windly every day.In various kind of DSP ,the typical one is the TMS32O family produced by the Texas Instunients (TI) in U.S.A,especially the third generation product TMS32OC3O, which has float-point operation.Digital signal processing system support by this advanced signal processor will provide a good hardware enviroment for digital processing algorithms.This is the motivation of this paper. This dissertation successfully developed a VLSTdigital signal processing single system,using TMS32OC3Oas its central processing Unit (CPU).Its outstanding advantage is that it can excute floating-point operation and has fast instructioncycles,therefore,it can implement all kinds of digital signal processing algorithms more efflciently.this system is applicable to digital signal processing field such as image compress,digital communication etc.the success of this system also provides an excellent opetating enviroment for digital signal processing algorithms.This system has the following function: 1 .High speed operations TMS32OC3O system has the clock frequency of 33.3MHZ,arKl 6Ons sigle cycle instruction ezecution time ,off-chip data and programe space can be devided into two parts:EPROM(16k*32bit) and RAM(128k*32bit), thus the applicational programs are more flexible, and are applical for signal processing algorithm study and development. 2.Data aqusition: AID can take any one of 16 channels signal, It can take time- sharing samplings of 16 channel signals, also it can implement comples sampling of 8 channel signals, and carry out real-time signal processing. 3. D/Aconversion: It can convert two channel signals simultaneously, using earphone socket as the output port. 4. Communication: It can implement communication between CPU and external devices through 8251 , as well as between two CPU.
