In this article, based on the research item ault Diagnosis and Aided Analysis of Marine MIE remote control device for Computer-Based System? the principle emulating and fault-analysis of MAN B&W MIE remote control system in huge container vessels in COSCON are made by adopted the computer multimedia technique. The solved technique problems in this paper include: the dynamic effect of principle emulation and its dynamic synchronous processing; building model of the speed governing unit and the linking of the hotspot; building model of the fault information stream systematically; optimizing the search for fault information stream. According to logical relationship in gas loops, the flowing ways of the gas loop for logic control are displayed dynamically in three different steering ways for WE: start, stop and invert. For pneumatic execution units, it is displayed in planar dynamical images, and the pertinent execution units are in keeping with moving in the main emulated window. As to the run of MIE speed governing unit, after the analysis of DGS 8800 electronic governor in detail, the emulated mathematical model of the governor, which is used to realize the principle emulating of the governor, has been developed. In this paper, based on the FTA (fault-tree analysis) and FEA (failure effect analysis), the analysis for the fault information stream of the Pneumatic Device in M/E Remote Control System was made. FTA and FEA have been systematized, and the fault model with logic matrix in mirror symmetry has been built. The search for FTA and FEA has realized by hotspot linking. In order to optimize FTA and FEA, both ineffective rate and unreliability limit in each degree have been calculated by making the statistics of the historical data about faults and maintenance of the Pneumatic Device in M/E Remote Control System. FTA searching from the given top-event, based on the maximum probability of occurred faults in each degree, the sequence of the bottom-event is arranged, and then the most probably happened bottom-event correspond to the specific top-event is found rapidly. Therefore the efficiency of fault source analysis has been improved signally, and the goal of the optimizing to fault analysis has been made. The FEA optimizing does the same case as FTA optimizing does, then evaluated the state of system based on both ineffective rate and unreliability limit in each degree, and pointed out precaution maintenance as well. The related applied software was developed to Iinkup the theory and the practice organically. The main program was designed as a interface of multi- document and multi-window, and the built windows are: the database window of MIE remote control pneumatic device; the window of principle graph analysis and illustration; the window of principle emulating (dynamical simulating); the window of FTA and window of TEA in pneumatic control system. Because WINDOWS gives support to multi-mission operation, these windows are able to work together without interaction. The first edition software has been installed in 13 vessels in COSCON(6 vessels with 5250 Tue, 7 vessels with 3400Tue), and it has gained a high appraisement cause of its friendly interface, true to nature image and direct and clear emulating effect.
