The people's lives and enterprises' interest are affected by the security of the industry process. Over a long period of time, there has been growing public concern regarding security of industry process, especially when hazard was took part in the process. It's necessary to construct a set of risk analysis and protected mechanism to industry process, in order to complete high quality reliability analysis.As a powerful and systematic tool, fault tree analysis has been adopted to the particular need of process quantitative risk analysis and got comprehensive honor. However, the application of fault tree synthesis in industry is limited. One major barrier is synthesis of fault tree. Especially the synthesis of fault tree of complex system is very difficulty.There are two ways in fault tree synthesis field, one is manual fault tree synthesis, the other is computer-aided fault tree synthesis. The comprehensive understand of system process is required in manual fault tree synthesis, at the same time, people also are affected by the subjective experience, result in the completed fault tree is subjective, and effect the application of the fault tree and reliability of result. The compute-aided fault tree automatic synthesis is very useful to industry process design, many people have brought forward many methods about fault tree synthesis, but they are not perfect to complex system.Through learning the basic idea of the fault tree synthesis, and analysis the method of the fault tree synthesis, this dissertation bring forward a new algorithm of fault tree synthesis, whose central idea is to capture the cause-and-effect logic around each item of equipment and inner state of the control loop, in order to complete mini fault tree directly, by the method of system decomposition, and then combine these mini fault trees into system fault tree. The fault tree created by this method is concise and can understand very well.At the same time, the dissertation provides a construct of fault tree automatic synthesis, which is consist of user interface, database and algorithm.The nitric acid cooling system, as an example, is provided in the paper to prove this algorithm validity and feasibility. The fault tree synthesized by this system is much more concise and easier to read. Fault tree completed by this method will be used broadly.
