In recent years, the number of geostationary satellite is increasing, the space between satellite is getting smaller. The emergency and special communication earth station are likely to target satellite tracking errors during the process of identifying and monitoring the target satellite, for example “on-the-move” system.In the face of the problem that the satellite monitoring speed and accuracy is not high, the subject will develop a new satellite digital signal monitoring system based on DVB-S. The system breaks through the traditional model of signal monitoring on the satellite communication earth station, used the DVB-S standard, which is widely used in the satellite digital television broadcast, realize the accurate monitoring of the satellite signal, for “on-the-move” provides fast and accurate satellite data. Firstly, we analyzed the transport stream of DVB-S signal, and found a solution to provide monitoring data. Secondly, a data flow could be received using the integrated Tuner through demodulating the received DVB-S signal. Finally, the high-speed FPGA is used to extract useful satellite information form the transport stream, and display the information in real time. The system contains various technologies to provide different levels monitoring data of satellite signal. After testing, compared with traditional identifying and monitoring scheme, the data feedback of “on-the-move” antenna is improved. It realizes the fast and accurate monitoring the target satellite.
