With the accelerative deepen of digitization and network in broadcast system, the audio matrix system, which is the most important data transmitting and exchange system, has been applied widely in broadcast system. As the most important part of the system, matrix control system has been impacted on the normal works of audio matrix directly; its reliability is also a crucial factor of the system.This paper has based on the practical need of the broadcast industry. Discussed the details of the process and design of digital program audio matrix system. Based on the core processor using C-language develop a set of High stability, high reliability embedded software system. The channels can be switched by hands or automatic configuration by program as well as the peripheral equipment. Finally use the VB.NET Language as tool design a windows software which can control the whole system. The new generation of the audio matrix system qualified with high reliability, high reliability, high availability and high scalability. Can achieve 8 channel’s input and 32 channel’s output inter-switched by hands as well as automatic. implement four seasons timing table and each day can set timing-step as much as 99. Especially it could controled by computer software.This paper firstly introduce the related knowledge of digital audio technology and equipment that are related to audio matrix system, secondly analyzes the broadcast industry’s development, Compared the advantages and disadvantages of the various kinds technology of audio matrix. Secondly analyzes the required functions of the audio matrix and put forward the technical index in detil. Thirdly the design of the whole system is given, and then make a detiled introduction of the implement process including hardware system, embeded software system and computer software system.
