Research And Implementation Of Embedded Bluetooth Advanced Audio System

The Bluetooth technology is a worldwide open standard for short-haul wireless communication. It offers the following features: low cost, low power consumption, strong anti-jamming performance, good compatibility and interoperability. It could be used for easily establishing the data and the audio links between the different devices which comply with the Bluetooth specification. Bluetooth technology is increasingly applied in portable products, such as the Bluetooth headset, the remote controller, the hand-free kit in the car, which ensures the promising development of the embedded Bluetooth application. Along with the Bluetooth product becomes more and more popular, the consumer demands for more functions. For example, in the Bluetooth audio application, people desire the stereo audio stream distribution.In this thesis, we provide a solution of the embedded Bluetooth-based Advanced Audio System—BAAS for the trend of Bluetooth technology. The BAAS solution includes many functions including the stereo stream distribution, the audio/video remote control and the hand-free for the call. When the product is in the hand-free mode, it uses the echo cancellation technology to avoid the echo's interference and provides a good voice quality.In this paper, we present the BASS solution as follows: At first, this thesis defines an application model by the product's features, and designs the hardware circuit according to the CSR's BlueCore3-Multimedia Bluetooth chip. We construct the software entity which is in accord with the Bluetooth specification through the research of the Bluetooth profile. At last, the thesis designs the RF test solution according to the Bluetooth Radio specification, and measures the product's RF parameter and power consumption.
