With the development of economy and the population of insurance awareness, some large-sized insurance companies designed and developed management information systems that suitable for their own working procedures management decisions one after another. Establishment and application of these management information systems provided a good platform for the realization of different management targets in these insurance companies’ operation and management activities and also brought about considerable profits as well. The marketing team of life insurance has its own uniqueness, for which reason in the intense competition of this industry, it is important for an administrator of the marketing team to do the right decision-making and operate the business scientifically, keep a high-efficient and in-time information feedback, help the marketing team to do the course management on marketing performance target and process and etc. on the basis of the characteristics of insurance industry, and promptly feedback the KPI data analysis that influence marketing performance. There hence, it is necessary to develop a new information system on the basis of the previous information management system and also respect marketing team’s high-performance management targets and follow the law of marketing itself. That is the Sales Management System for Marketing Team.This thesis mainly explored the design of high-efficient, stable, secure and dependent application system software with good transferability and cross-platform according to the specific marketing management modes and one of the major business systems, i.e. the marketing management system in insurance companies. In the course of software development, the author firstly started from the business model of marketing management and described the requirements of the marketing management system. Next by using case analysis the author found out the entity requiring persistence and the relationship among them, and then took the models and third normal form to design the systematic data base. With this basis, the author made architecture analysis and design to the system by using B/S architecture technology as the implementation technique, the sql server the B2 B data base, and.net the design and developing tool. The systematic tests and preliminary runs showed that the life-insurance-related marketing management system had reached the designed functions and customers’ requirements, and the system had already contributed a lot to the business operation in the development of life insurance enterprises.
