Departments involved in the electronic document management system, process more complex, a lot of enterprises and institutions without special electronic document management system, many staff still used manual written documents, and then copy the mail, so the error rate is high, and the work efficiency is low, to improve the document management level of enterprises and institutions, and design a set of electronic document management system.First of all, this paper introduces the document management system research background and significance, and the current document management to do a brief summary, and then elaborates the research significance and importance, and introduces the main content and work of teeth. Then analysis the document management business processes, and the document management system using UML modeling method to complete the business function modeling and data modeling, the paper describes each functional module of the use case diagram, class diagram and use case description and the concept of ’class, divide the document management system based on data management, document management, the receipt management, document archiving, query statistics, system management of six functional sub modules, and the sub function modules of the detailed design, the design of each sub function module diagram, sequence diagram, class diagram and the core processing flow chart, and the completion of the E-R map and the physical database table design.
