A Study On The Propaganda Behavior Of "Marginalization"

Marginal man wandering in the bottom of society, is a group of easy to beignored. With the development of social transformation, the development ofurbanization, the development of information technology, the traditionalcommunication pattern is broken gradually, different levels of communicationbecomes more and more widely. But the communication status of marginal man hasnot yet been focused on. Poor material, slimited ustaining ability, survival difficult,but poor communication with other groups also makes them feel lonely. In the realitysociety, some material assistance measures are worthwhile, but poor spirit tocommunicate needs to discuss. Then, what kind is the true communication state ofmarginal man? what characteristics are the exchanges? How to communicateeffectively to adust them to city life better? The series problems need academic study,and need to be solved urgently.Under this back ground, the paper takes the structural semiotics as the angle ofview, combining lots of empirical materials, bases on investigation records, signifyingthe communication behavior with marginal man, summing up the characteristics oftheir contacts in the exchanges between the two sides, to further explore the differentpsychological factors behind the table of syndrome, and finally puts forwardsuggestions and the problems should be paid attention to in the communication withmarginal man. This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is an introduction. The paper firstly explains the research object,defining the concept of marginal man, communication and communication behavior.The article thinks the marginal man is the city “potential Rangers”, and they aredivided into “physical type” and “family social intercourse type” according todifferent causes; in the thesis, communication refers to the interpersonalcommunication in Communication Theory; propagation behaviors are mainly forspeech acts in communication. Secondly, it introduces significance of the paperresearch: enrich the research on the interpersonal aspects in the theory and provides a semiotic perspective, provide positive suggestions for effective communication andajust into the city in practical life. Again, it introduces the research status at home andabroad:“the marginal man theory” comes from the western countries, which is theclassical theory, and the basis of the study; domestic scholars from literature andsociology are studing, and achieved certain results, but the research on how toassociate with marginal man from the angle of media studies rarely, and lacking of acertain theoretical depth. Finally it introduces the research method and the innovationpoint.The second part is the research on means system of the marginal mancommunication behavior. The thesis firstly introduces the signification of systemtheory research. Then combining with the example, using the semiotics of contrastand replacement method, find the speech between the two groups: the speech of“saying details” and “communication world”,“saying details” and “communicativecharacteristics”. It analyses signification of system on communication behavior basedon the speech act, and studies “direct expression of discourse” and “indirect discourseexpression” two ways, which all include really signifying system, direct signifyingsystem and implicity signifying system,“indirect discourse expression” has moreanother layer of implicit meaning, namely two contained connotation system. Thereare “indirect discourse expression” in two group of items contrastly, but theyultimately means different themes, one group is “communication world”, another is“communication features”. Refers to the basis of systematic research, this partconcludes three characteristics of marginal man in the reserved: strong self-esteem,inferiority and the desire for emotional communication.The third part is the psychology analyse behind the significance of differentcharacterization of exchanges between the two sides. Communication and exchangesbetween the two sides in a marginal group, are often difficult to understand each othercode characterization of significance, the pepar provides a semiotics perspective, analyses from the social context, cultural space and sharing code. There aredifferences between traditional rural context and contex of the city, marginal man’slife belief, value judgment and human attitudes are strongly impacted becuse theyhave to be from blocking to complex, from simple to complex. The cultural spacesegmentation behinds the two sides is obvious, the formation of long-term historical,cultural and aesthetic values are different, resulting in poor communication.“Smart”and “Small fresh” group is a typical representative. Different letter code sharing isanother big factor, which is influenced by the social context and cultural spacedirectly. There are differences in understanding between the two sides in all aspects oflife such as clothing,resulting in sharing the letter code, which is not conducive to thecoding and decoding.The fourth part is to put forward some suggestions to improve thecommunication situation. Communication with marginal man still exist greatdifficulties, and this needs both sides to work together to improve the communicationsituation. This requires the ansistance of other social groups, also needs marginalman’s own change. Social groups should take the initiative to help them, coordinatethe relationship, and choose the appropriate words in exchanges, enhance theemotional interaction, and pay attention to humanistic care, only in this way cansmoothly through the process of interpretation and generalization process, generates asense of resonance. Marginal man also should do some change: learn to take theinitiative to communicate with other groups, dealing with culture and relation withstrangers, strengthening the cultural cultivation and make good use of media tools andso on. Only by this way, some problems can solve really.The fifth part is the conclusion. This part is the summary of the research, andpointing out the research insufficiency, looking forward to the future research ideasand directions.
