In today’s social context, harmony of public opinion is an important guarantee and premise for the realization of social harmony. The public opinion’s degree of harmony reflects and influences the development society and the degree of social harmony. In the process of building a socialist harmonious society, want to achieve harmonious development, harmonious public opinion can not be separated as a support. Especially with the rapid development of information and communication technologies, the growing influence of public opinion, directly or indirectly, the degree of social stability and harmony depends on public opinion or not.As society progresses, the triple play continues to accelerate the process and improve the ability of traditional broadcast media to guide public opinion can not be ignored. This article is based on the new situation of China’s development in today’s society, from the status quo of China’s radio and television media, guiding force of public opinion, by comparison and analysis, identifying obstacles to our guiding force public radio and television media to enhance the internal and external factors, which made radio and television media to enhance public opinion to guide appropriate policy force. Currently, there are certain problems of the media itself, strict, lack of investigation will jump to conclusions; Too dependent on the executive power of public opinion, some government media coverage of important events for blocking light weight sparse; Some media practitioners and political literacy and business level is not high and thus affect the authority and credibility of the media promotion; New media caused by the lack of effective supervision of public control is not high, the status quo of China’s impact on the promotion of traditional broadcasting media guiding force of public opinion. This paper argues that, by adhering to the principle of the right of media guidance of public opinion, the media-led agenda setting, enhance the credibility of radio and television media, interactive series of measures to strengthen cooperation in new media such as radio and television media can effectively enhance the guiding force of public opinion, so as to promote the building of a harmonious society.
