| Recent years, with the development of smart phone and mobile Internet, news APPs, which are of fluency, promptness and convenience, have been developed rapidly. Under this background, People’s Daily brought out its APP on June 12th,2014 and attempts to make use of all it have to compete in the news APP market.In this essay, the writer teased out the emergence and development of news APPs in China, and then summarized the advantages and disadvantages of People’ Daily App by comparing with other popular news. And then the writer analyzed the features of the contents of News Feeds from the perspectives of quantity, time, topic and source with the method of content analysis. And based on that, the essay summarized three traits of People’s Daily, which are fast in speed, magnanimity in contents, intimate in style and universality in service.Based on the previous analysis, the writer endeavored to enlarge the viewing angle to party newspapers which plan to or have been pushed out news APPs, discussed the opportunities and challenges they may meet in the process of development. At last, the writer offered advice and suggestions of the future and expected to provide a reference for party newspapers on exploring and developing their APP products. |
