Along with Travelling Wave Tube(TWT) invented in the early1940’s, this micro-wave power device already extended radar、electron-war、telemetry、 communication industry. TWT is a type of microwave device which achieve amplifying power by transforming electron beam kinetic energy into radio frequency electromagnetic wave. TWT has a lot of characters,such as broadband、high gain and efficiency、small size、light weight、control grid. The transmitter with TWT as the amplifier has large output power, relatively wide broadband, high efficiency.The performance of high-voltage power supply which is one of the most important parts in the transmitter system of electronic equipment, determines the performance of TWT transmitter.This thesis based on the need of an airborne transmitter project, focuses on the design and development work of high-voltage power supply for grid control TWT. From the view of engineering practice, it introduces the design process of the main power supply and grid modulator in the high-voltage power supply.The design of the main power supply portion focuses on the switching power supply technology. After the analysis and comparison of performance of all kinds of topological circuit about switching power supply, it chooses the circuit form of full-bridge zero-current-switching resonant circuit as the basic circuit of the TWT high-voltage power supply. The important techniques in this part includes:rectifying and filtering technology, the design and dealization of high-voltage transformer, the analysis and parameter design of the resonant circuit.In the grid modulator part, based on the introduction of the basic theory knowledge of pulse modulator, and the performance differences between various types of pulse modulator, we choose the circuit form of floating deck modulator as the basic circuit of the grid modulator. In this part, it introduces the details of the design process of grid modulator, including the positive power and the negative power of the grid modulator and the design of isolation driving circuit.Finally, an engineering prototype of the high-voltage power supply is manufactured successfully, which meets the airborne environmental conditions. Through various experiments and tests, the high-voltage power supply prototype is stable and reliable in work. The thesis provides a solid theoretical and engineering foundation for the development of other products of the same type.
