Design And Implementation Of Manufacturing Execution System

With the rapid development of information technology, MES is playing a more and more significant role in connecting manufacturing and information management. MES is a information management system fpr the workshop layer which lies between the planning system of the upper layer and industrial control system of the ground floor.With China’s commercial airplane project advancing, COMAC has released the deadline for the first flight of China’s commercial airplane. To accelerate the aircraft manufacturing and to improve the quality of aircraft manufacturing are the top priority for SAMC; at the same time, aircraft manufacturing is a huge, systematic and comprehensive project, each aircraft is composed of millions of parts and how to produce and assemble these parts as planned becomes the prime difficulty for SAMC. To manage aircraft manufacturing and production, it is extremely emergent for SAMC to design and realize a integratable MES.This article analyzes the current situation and trend of domestic and foreign MES and introduces JBPM, WebService and message response mechanism to improve the current situation of SAMC that the production management system is poor in integration, configurability, real-time and intellectualization. The MES connects JBPM with configure module to realize intelligent assignment; the MES employs WebService to realize the interaction among sub-systems and the interaction between MES system and external systems (such as PDM, ERP, Portal). This will reduce the coupling between sub-systems and improve the extensibility of the MES.At last, by employing JBPM and WebService and adding configuration module and message response module to the existing MES system of manufacturing, this article finally designs and realizes the MES. This system has been put into operation in SAMC and achieved a good result.
