Talent-search reality shows were introduced to China in the early21st century, has triggered the audience extensive discussions from street and lane and the focus attention of objects. At present, Talent-search reality shows is the most universal and popular TV program type of China. Talent show is prevalent in China, at the same time, the criticism and controversial voices have also be heard. After a brief silence of a few years, Talent-search reality shows, such as’The Voice of China’and’Chinas Got Talent’ strongly regress, sweeping the weakness of a talent show, setting off a new round of TV rating tide, and causing the intense attention and reflection.This article mainly uses the method of literature research and case analysis, learns from the theoretical basis of communication, cultural anthropology for reference. In this research, the ritual theory is combined with Talent-search reality shows. It analyses the current Talent-search reality shows’characteristics of ritualized from the perspective of the ritual, explores the ritualized communication existence basis as well as concrete manifestation forms in Talent-search reality shows, and guide people to deeply understand the value of Talent-search reality shows, in order to bring new enlightenment for the study of the talent shows.The full text is divided into six parts includes the introduction and conclusion:The preface, illustrates the research background and significance of topic, to be sort of research status and describes methods which were used in this paper and the innovation of this study.The second part, understand comprehensively and deeply the Talent shows through overview of the development of Talent-search reality shows. Then, briefly expounds the transmission concept of ritual theory, as to provide theoretical basis for the study of the talent show.The third part, from the theoretical perspective of ritual communication, refines the features of Talent-search reality shows which have a non-routine, performance, symbolic, periodicity, and other aspects of the order, and combined with concrete analysis of’The Voice of China’program. The fourth part firstly explore the ritualized communication existence basis in Talent-search reality shows from four aspects, such as the ritual time and space, the ritual participants, common belief and so on. Next, from music ceremony, rituals taboos, interactive ritual, idolatry, and rites of passage in five aspects, analyses detailed concrete manifestation forms in Talent-search reality shows.’The Voice of China’ and ’Avenue of Stars’ become specific case analysis of talent-search reality shows. The fifth part expounds the increasingly diverse cultural appeal in today, talent-search reality shows meet the needs of the present social culture, analyze talent-search reality shows undertaken the responsibility of emotion communication, social integration and cultural identity, the value of the ideal construct, combining with specific examples of programs.The sixth part summarizes the conclusions of this study, and illustrates some of the deficiencies of this research, and the future research of the talent shows.In the end, this paper sums up Talent-search reality shows’unique characteristics of ritualized; analysis it is concluded that the talent show present a specific ritualized in the spread of forms, provide a new interpretation for the talent show lasts hot and constantly; To explore the positive value and significance in the talent show. Of course, in this paper, the deficiencies, such as the use of ritual theory and digging depth is not enough, to present the ritualization of spread in the talent show content on details and in-depth analysis, etc. Hope that the future can have a more detailed study from the Angle of ceremony, from more and more comprehensive perspective to study the talent show, rational thinking and a new inspiration for the people.
