Due to the development of new technologies and the emergence of new media, the traditional financial media have to change and reform.In the context of media convergence, Newspaper-Net Integration is regarded as an effective way for paper media to revive and achieve a win-win situation with network media. As to the financial newspaper and its website, there is a more urgent need for a convergence because of the characteristics of financial news and its disadvantage in the dissemination process.However, as the financial newspaper-net interaction deepens, the convergence has met with some difficulties in terms of news production, capital, operating and channels. Even some give up fusion and embark on the respective development.Based on reference to predecessors’ research on the media convergence and newspaper-net integration, this paper has inquired into the convergence model of newspaper-net integration of financial newspapers:First, it gives the definition of financial newspapers and its website and also the newspaper-net convergence of financial newspapers;Next, this paper analyzes the characteristics of financial news as well as the shortage of spreading process of paper media and network media. It makes it clear that newspaper-net convergence should be the future direction;Finally, this paper makes an in-depth discussion on the historical development as well as practical difficulties of financial newspaper-net integration and tries to dig out the reasons behind it. It also summarizes two models of integration, and compares the cases of convergence of foreign professional financial newspapers, in hope that it can provide some ideas for domestic financial newspapers in newspaper-net integration.
